Post Malone played at Stagecoach over the weekend, delighting fans with a cover of Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” That track is now available for listening on Amazon Music.
The track is a studio version of Post Malone’s cover available exclusively on Amazon Music. It also marks the first time Post Malone has delivered a studio-quality country song. “Brad Paisley is the coolest motherf*cker on the planet and an absolute legend,” Post Malone said of the new track. “This song has meant so much to me for a long time and I’m honored to be able to cover it. I love you, Brad.”
Amazon Music broadcast the Stagecoach live performance on Twitch and Prime Video as Post Malone surprised fans by bringing out Brad Paisley and performing the song as a duet. Aside from this performance, livestreamed sets from some of country’s biggest artists included Eric Church, Elle King, Willie Nelson & Family, HARDY, and Bailey Zimmerman.
Post Malone introduced himself to the crowd at Stagecoach as Austin Richard Post, telling them “we’re gonna be doing a bunch of songs that I f*cking love.”
He was the second artist to perform songs that were mostly not his own following Eric Church’s performance of several gospel songs. Posty kicked off his cover-laden set with Tyler Childers’ “Whitehouse Road,” then “Little Ways,” with Dwight Yoakam. After singing “I’m Gonna Miss Her” with Brad Paisley, Paisley stuck around for another duet cover of “One More Last Chance” by Vince Gill.
Post Malone sang Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take the Girl,” telling the crowd the song hits extra hard for him since becoming a father. Sara Evans also appeared on stage for “Suds in the Bucket,” with Post Malone taking a backseat to Evans’ vocals. Post Malone used part of his set to honor Toby Keith with a rendition of his song “Who’s Your Daddy?”
The Stagecoach livestream from Amazon Music also included live interviews with Country Heat Weekly hosts Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson—as well as country music personality Graham Bunn. Fans can buy Stagecoach merchandise from a wide selection of artists who performed this year and listen to the official Stagecoach playlist on Amazon Music now.
