With Live Nation’s much-publicized antitrust trial due to begin next month, the lengthy list of prospective witnesses on both sides has been unveiled—and it’s a doozy.
The landmark antitrust case, United States v. Live Nation-Ticketmaster, is scheduled to kick off on March 2nd. Discovery is complete after the suit’s launch two years ago by the U.S. Department of Justice alongside 40 state attorneys general and the District of Columbia. Judge Arun Subramanian will preside over the trial in the Southern District of New York.
While the nitty-gritty is still being ironed out in the weeks leading up to opening statements, both sides have compiled extensive prospective witness lists. Expect this list to trim down a bit as we head into court proceedings next month; both sides have argued to the court that the other’s list is ridiculously lengthy.
This list includes those expected to provide live testimony and those whose prior deposition testimony will be designated for the court record.
