On July 4th, in honor of Music Independence Day, MTV, VH1, and CMT in conjunction with Monster DNA headphones will match tips paid to unsigned and indie artists through Tip Jars on MTV & CMT artist pages.
The event will take place from 6 am to 9pm EDT and for every dollar a fan “tips” you, MTV, VH1, and CMT will collectively also tip you a dollar. However, only the first $100k tips across the board will be matched so artists should encourage supporters to tip earlier in the day.
