What happens when a top fundraiser for Obama is accused of embezzling $1.3 million?
Danielle Smith has been charged with embezzling money from Warner Music Group. Smith was an urban music executive at Atlantic and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Obama campaign.
Smith allegedly used a company credit card for very expensive personal charges between 2007 and 2011. The money was supposedly used for vacations and luxury items.
Smith turned herself in, but pleads “not guilty”.

Two things pop into my mind on this one:
1. I have never seen a non president/CEO of a record label get away with spending that much money without having some kind of corporate approval. Especially someone from the “Urban” department. She would have to be in cahoots with the CFO to be able to pull this one off.
2. What does Obama have to do with this?
Joda, She was a high profile Democratic fund raiser, She bundled over$ 300.000 for the campaign.
I agree she must have had somebody on the inside green lighting her expenses?
Maybe she’ll funnel it back to artists who never got their money from lawsuits with Napster, etc.
