
Audio company Technics is back.
Technics’ products were discontinued in 2010, but now they’re re-launching with audio hardware and a high resolution music download service.
Technics is launching a Reference Class R1 Series of products and a Premium Class C700 Series. The Reference Class features an amplifier, control player, and speakers. The Premium Class features and amplifier, network audio player, CD player, and speaker system.
Music Week reports that the download service is called Technics Tracks. It will be available in the UK and Germany in 2015. The service will offer 24-bit/192kHz FLAC tracks and 16-bit/44.1kHz CD quality tracks. It will also offer news and editorial about high resolution audio.
