Right after a dazzling Super Bowl performance, Lady Gaga announced her Joanne World Tour.
Atop the roof of Houston’s NRG Stadium, drones illuminated the American flag behind Lady Gaga. She sung God Bless America as a subtleswipe at President Donald Trump. The song highlighted unity and inclusion for all people. Then, she recited part of the Pledge of Allegiance,
“One nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”
Civil rights anthem This Land is Your Land followed before she switched to her most popular songs: Ballad Edge of Glory, Poker Face, and Born This Way, among others.
Despite what her fans expected, Lady Gaga didn’t take any direct shots at Donald Trump’s current policies. Yet, for her “little monsters,” Lady Gaga announced the Joanne World Tour on Instagram after the performance.
The tour will kick off in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 1. It will also come to an end on December 14 at Salt Lake City. You can see the full list of tour dates below.
