Gibson Publishing debuts its first book, The Collection: Slash, in partnership with Slash. The book explores “in unprecedented detail” the instruments the legendary guitarist has played over his career.
Gibson Brands has announced the launch of Gibson Publishing in partnership with legendary rock icon Slash. The publisher’s first release, a detailed premium coffee table book entitled The Collection: Slash, explores the instruments Slash has used on hit records and stages worldwide throughout his career. Two versions, Custom and Deluxe, will be published through Gibson Publishing and are available for pre-order now.
Gibson Publishing marks the next significant leap in the evolution of Gibson Brands’ platform, providing and promoting an array of music experiences to fans worldwide. The brand’s recently launched music label Gibson Records released Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators’ latest album, 4, earlier this year. It seems only natural that the first book for Gibson’s publishing brand is a premium book in partnership with the company’s global brand ambassador, the rock legend Slash.
“It’s been a blast working with Gibson to create a platform for me to talk about my favorite thing, guitars,” says Slash. “This book is a great exposé of all the great guitars I’ve collected over many years.”

In a simultaneous launch, the Slash episode of Gibson TV’s interview series, The Collection, will take viewers on a deep dive into the musician’s personal guitar collection. Slash sits with the show’s host, Mark Agnesi, to discuss never-before-told stories behind his vintage pieces, prototype Gibson signature models, Les Pauls, Flying V’s, and many more. Together, Slash and Mark cover a wide range of Slash’s collection of more than 400 instruments.

The Custom edition of the book includes:
