“My empowering lyrics and trap pop sound aims to inspire other women to be in music because it is a male-dominated industry,” Izza says.
Though still relatively new in the industry, Izza is already hitting notable milestones. Her top musical moment is playing at 320 Festival alongside artists like Chris Martin of Coldplay, Elohim, and Social House. As she is an entertainer who advocates for mental health, this was an experience that remains special to her.
The music industry can be ruthless for newbies, and Izza was no exception. Her biggest challenge was getting started in this competitive sector where everyone is competing for the same audience. Coming from a background that wasn’t in music made it even harder for Izza, but as the saying goes, “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
“I played tennis my whole life and didn’t have anyone who had knowledge about the industry, so I had to push myself to figure out how to break into it. When I was applying to college, I knew I wanted to study music, so I applied to universities that had music industry programs,” Izza explains.
By studying the music industry in college, Izza learned how to develop herself as an artist and how the industry works. This also helped her understand music industry dynamics and the best way to build her brand.
Success can be difficult to achieve, but Izza truly believes you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Believe in your potential, and never let anyone discourage you from following your dreams. The greatest gift you can reward yourself with is following your passion and turning it into a career. This way, you will never need to wake up and work but rather have fun while building your own empire.
“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been since making music full-time, so I hope people can find what they love and pursue it,” Izza adds.
With pop being one of the most popular genres across the world, Izza aspires to expand her fan base beyond the borders of America. Her dream is to be signed to a record label that will help nurture her brand and push it to the next level. This includes releasing more music and albums with features from other notable musical talents. Her goal is to perform on some of the biggest stages across the world, and she dreams of headlining Coachella and, hopefully, winning a Grammy. Additionally, Izza aspires to leverage her talent to inspire and encourage others to face their fears and chase their dreams.
