Accounting and advisory firm Prager Metis announces a ‘strategic pairing,’ a partnership with Goldsmith Molis & Gray, a partnership bolstering its presence in North Carolina while expanding its services.

Leading accounting and advisory firm Prager Metis has joined forces with Goldsmith Molis & Gray for a partnership that bolsters the former’s presence in North Carolina and expands its suite of services. The deal is retroactively effective as of January 1, 2024.

Joe Molis, Allen Gray, and Crystal Goldsmith have joined Prager Metis as Partners, with George Gabler and Steven Foster joining as Principals. Their team will work out of their current offices in Asheville and Hendersonnville, North Carolina. Prager Metis has offices in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Founded over 60 years ago, Goldsmith Molis & Gray is a Top 50 Accounting Firm, having established itself as a leader in delivering tailored tax, accounting, auditing, and business advisory solutions for its clients.

“We are excited to partner with a well-regarded firm like Goldsmith Molis & Gray,” says Glenn L. Friedman, Chief Executive Officer. “Prager Metis prides itself on providing best-in-class service to every client. The addition of GM&G enhances our capabilities and enables us to deliver an even wider range of premier accounting, tax, and advisory solutions. This partnership reinforces our commitment to growth and leadership in the market.”

“This strategic partnership enables us to leverage our joint expertise in new ways that unlock greater value for clients,” adds Joe Molis. “By integrating the GM&G team into Prager Metis’ industry-leading platform, together we will build upon our rich histories of client-centered service. We are confident this partnership positions us for the future in a dynamically growing market.”

The addition of Goldsmith Molis & Gray and their team solidifies Prager Metis’ presence in North Carolina, and its position as one of the largest accounting firms worldwide. Prager Metis is among the fastest-growing accounting and advisory firms, offering a full range of services as a Top 50 Accounting Firm.

Despite its recent expansion, Prager Metis is battling an ongoing lawsuit from the US Securities and Exchange Commission over alleged auditor independence violations related to a template the firm used when signing on new clients. The offenses are said to have taken place between December 2017 and October 2020. While Prager Metis was one of the auditors for the now-notoriously defunct crypto exchange, FTX, it’s notable that the SEC’s allegations are unrelated.
