Billie Eilish is launching an immersive experience on Roblox in support of her upcoming 3D tour documentary, co-directed by James Cameron.

On May 5, Roblox’s virtual entertainment space “The Block” will transform into Billie Eilish’s concert stage in an immersive activation to celebrate her upcoming 3D tour documentary film, Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour. There will be interactive elements, including karaoke, with tracks like “Ocean Eyes” and “when the party’s over.”

Starting May 7 through May 10, the platform will host a broadcast of Eilish’s performance of “Birds of a Feather” from the film, alongside the official trailer. Fans will be able to engage with the environment like a proper Billie Eilish concert.

In addition to a digital avatar of the artist, the experience will incorporate stage lighting effects and 3D visuals made to reflect the film’s theatrical format. There will also be limited-edition Billie Eilish-inspired items available on Roblox’s Marketplace, including a themed animation pack and (of course) an avatar.

Fans noted that Eilish was not present at this year’s Met Gala, and that’s largely because she’s busy running the press circuit for her upcoming concert film. She sat down to talk to Amy Poehler on the “Good Hang” podcast, where she opened up about her battles with chronic pain, Tourette’s tics, and a dance injury when she was 12 that ultimately sparked her music career.

Meanwhile, Roblox shares fell more than 18% on Friday as the platform recently announced new restrictions on user accounts, including age estimation tools that limited who younger users can talk to. The move aims to protect the platform’s younger audience, but the rollout has slowed down user engagement significantly.

Roblox also launched Roblox Plus on April 30, a subscription model for $4.99 a month that includes discounts on in-game items and avatars, as well as exclusive benefits. Creators will have access to a new API that enables users to subscribe to Roblox Plus in-game, limiting who can engage with player-made content at the creator-level.
