Rumblefish is bidding farewell to its founder and CEO, Paul Anthony Troiano, who is stepping aside while remaining in an advisory role.  Rumblefish, a micro-licensing  and online video monetization platform, was acquired by SESAC in 2013.  Incidentally, SESAC also recently acquired Harry Fox Agency, where substantial cutbacks are happening amidst a broader, post-acquisition re-org.

7digital has just named Paul Langworthy as Chief Operations Officer, a bump from VP of Operations.

European indie label consortium IMPALA has now elected its 26-person Board, effective for the next two years.  Among the bigger elections are Jonas Sjöström (representing Playground Music Scandinavia, Edel and Swedish association SOM), re-elected to President; Kees van Weijen (representing [PIAS] Rough Trade Distribution Benelux and Dutch association STOMP), re-appointed as Chairman; and Geert De Blaere (representing Belgian association BIMA), re-elected as Treasurer.   That leadership trio will work alongside Executive Chair Helen Smith.  The complete Board listing is here.

On the television front, Nicki Minaj and ABC have confirmed that Minaj will be featured in an upcoming, biographic ABC Family series.  The show, which will also see Minaj assuming an executive producer role, is expected to follow the rapper from her birth in Trinidad and Tobago and onto her childhood in Queens, according to the general sketch.  A pilot could happen by year end; a tricky component will involve the handling of Minaj’s drug-addicted, abusive father.

Elsewhere, Global Entertainment CEO Randy Phillips is now stepping aside after a short, multi-month stint.  Global Entertainment is a broader-reaching approach to building a music company that spans publishing, live, branding, management, and other disciplines.  Prior to Global, Phillips was the longtime CEO at AEG Live.

And the shuffling continues at MTV, where president Stephen Friedman is now exiting.  The news was first tipped by Deadline Hollywood, who also reported that Sean Atkins will be stepping into Friedman’s role.
