SESAC, the music rights organization, has recently announced the appointment of Alexander Wolf as President of SESAC International. Wolf will be responsible for identifying and implementing a range of new multi-territory licensing and service offerings that SESAC can offer to its clients. Wolf’s role will also involve representing SESAC Performing Rights with societies around the world, as well as overseeing the exploitation of Rumblefish and Harry Fox Agency catalogs outside the U.S.

Wolf will report directly to SESAC CEO John Josephson. SESAC is one of the leading music rights organizations in the world, offering a range of licensing and royalty payment services to songwriters and publishers. Wolf has a wealth of experience in the music industry, having previously held senior positions at a number of music rights organizations and media companies.

In other music industry news, Jörn Radloff, formerly of GEMA, has been named head of rightsholder management for ICE Services. ICE Services is a provider of online music licensing and rights management services, working with a range of clients in the music industry.

Meanwhile, Eventbrite, the online ticketing platform, has appointed Joel Crouch as its first-ever General Manager for the UK and Ireland. Crouch will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of Eventbrite’s operations in the region. Crouch has more than 15 years of experience in the tech industry, having previously worked with companies such as Google, EMC, and Lanyon.

Finally, 7digital, the music and radio content and backend supplier, has signed on to power the freshly relaunching eMusic. eMusic is a digital music service that specializes in independent music, offering a range of tracks from emerging artists. 7digital has named Paul McGowan as the non-executive director of the company. McGowan has a wealth of experience in the music industry, having held top leadership positions at a number of companies, including Hilco UK and HMV.

In Canada, Warner Music has named Steve Waxman as Vice President. Waxman is a veteran of the Canadian music industry, having previously held senior positions at Universal Music Canada and Sony Music Canada. At Warner Music Canada, Waxman will be responsible for overseeing the label’s A&R operations, as well as working on new strategic initiatives for the company.
