Will the DMX & Ruff Ryders Brooklyn performance lead to a full-blown tour?
DMX, Eve, Swizz Beatz, The Lox, and Drag-On will reunite for Ruff Ryders’ 20th anniversary in Brooklyn. First announced on Instagram, the performance will celebrate Ruff Ryders’ past, present, and possible future.

The image title teases a full-blown tour starting at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center on April 21. However, DMX and company have yet to announce more “Reunion Tour” dates.
The Ruff Ryders’ influence helped launch the successful solo careers of Swizz, Eve, and DMX. Most notably, DMX and hip-hop group The Lox became multi-platinum stars for Def Jam Records. Swizz Beatz helmed the combination rap superstar and production team.
Jadakiss, Styles P, Lil’ Waah, and Murda Mook also formed part of the Ruff Ryders. Yet, there hasn’t been any word if they will also participate in the Reunion Tour performance.
As of late, Ruff Ryders has been noticeably quiet. The group found success after releasing 1999’s ‘Ryde or Die’ as well as the follow-up, ‘Ride or Die’ Volume 2. 2005’s ‘Redemption, Vol. 4’ dropped the group’s iconic Ruff Ryders title. After that album, group members dedicated more time on their own individual projects.
The news also comes right after DMX announced a new Swizz Beatz collaboration album, ‘Bane Iz Back,’ in January. The collaboration album, which drew inspiration from Batman’s Bane, came one month after the rapper filed bankruptcy for the third time. The bankruptcy documents showed debts surpassing $2.03 million, with several women named.
Swizz Beatz also debuted an unheard track featuring X, Jay Z, Nas, and Jadakiss last weekend during a beat battle with Just Blaze.
