Eric Clapton says his vocal views on the lockdowns and COVID-19 vaccines have cost him friends.
The musician opened up in a recent interview with a YouTube channel about it. “I just don’t hear from them anymore. My phone doesn’t ring very often. I don’t get that many texts and emails anymore. It’s quite noticeable, I was ostracized,” the musician says. “And I could feel that everywhere.”
Clapton has been a vocal opponent of lockdowns and has expressed some skepticism about vaccines. He says he was vaccinated and had a terrible adverse reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine that made him question their safety. “I feared I would never play again,” the musician said about the side effects.
“I suffer from peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle,” Clapton says. “But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone.” Eric Clapton has also expressed doubts that lockdowns were necessary to help control the spread of COVID-19.
Clapton says it’s been hard to bite his tongue with what he knows. But that hasn’t stopped him from announcing a new tour for 2021. Both Eric Clapton and Van Morrison will play at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida as live music shows return.

It wasn’t because of his views, but because of this ignorance and campaign for disinformation about something that was actually happening; killing people and making other sick en mass. Slowhand seems to have a slow brain these days.
Translation: “My shitty behavior is causing people to not like me!”
Translation: the Covid cult will destroy anyone who disagrees with them. This is no longer about medicine, this is about Nazi-style leftist tyranny.
Fuk your vaccine. Fuk your masks.
Translation: Bobby is a stupid motherfucker who doesn’t believe in science and denies millions of people getting sick and/or dying around the world.
Fuk you Bobby (or whatever other idiotic name you post under)
Red state Clapton who would have guessed
Whether you disagree with him or not , the problem is how nasty we are to one another. People can have an opinion without him getting crap from others.
That’s true, but it isn’t what Clapton was talking about. He got ghosted by his friends for his opinion. That is actually ok, because if you have friends that develop opinions or interests that don’t align with yours, then they aren’t friends any longer.
What are fans of Clapton like, if they have stayed with him since his racist words in August 1976.Perhaps they will not take the Anti-Covid vaccines allowing others to have injections instead. As for Morrison fans how did you like the duet wth Cliff Richard.Clapton and Morrison are both out of touch with the world most people live in.Forget them and get on with now and today’s music
