Guitar Center has just plucked Frank Crowson for the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing.  Crowson, who comes from Target, will work alongside Michael Amkreutz, Guitar Center EVP of Merchandising, Marketing and E-Commerce.

Longtime Universal Music Group digital executive Amanda Marks is now stepping down, according to details leaked to Billboard.  Marks, whose involvement with UMG spans nearly 20 years, is one of several high-profile digital-focused executives to depart UMG this year.  Most notably, Marks’ departure follows that of Rob Wells, rumored to be scapegoated amidst heavy content devaluation.

Across the pond, Downtown Music Publishing has named Corinne Eady (pictured above) as Head of Sync for Downtown UK. Eady will report to Managing Director Roberto Neri in London.

Elsewhere, TuneCore has announced two new placements, part of a continued expansion that now includes an Austin office.  Specifically, Gillian Morris joins as VP of Publishing, based in Brooklyn headquarters, while Amy Lombardi will oversee the Austin office as Manager of Artist Relations.  TuneCore, recently acquired by Believe Digital, counts five US-based offices.

Time of honorable self extinction of Lucian Grainge and Doug Morris!
Those two control over 70% of music for years and have managed to shrink $100 billion dollars of music goodwill obvious to an imbecile to just $14 billion dollars of ads and subscriptions. Some HONOR please.

    Random replacements will create MIRACLES.
