Kanye West Abandons Tidal For Apple Music

Oh the irony.  Kanye West’s latest track is somehow an Apple Music exclusive.

First, Kanye declared that his music would never never NEVER be available on Apple Music, Spotify or any other streaming service apart from Tidal.

Then, Kanye later went back on his word and made his latest album ‘The Life of Pablo’ more widely available on all streaming platforms, including both Apple Music and Spotify.

Now, West has gone and done the unthinkable.

The rapper’s latest song ‘Saint Pablo’ is now available to stream… but it’s not on Tidal.  It’s actually only available on Apple Music.

‘Saint Pablo’ includes a Jay Z sample and a feature from British singer Sampha.  Feedback from his fans has been sweeping Twitter in the last hour and it’s been nothing but positive.  However, the lyrics state reasons why he chose to invest in Tidal as opposed to Apple Music, which seem pretty ironic giving the circumstances.

There is speculation that the release may just be a ‘glitch’ on Apple’s side, though this may just be another crazy Kanye about-face.

But what does Kanye stand for these days? In the troubled days of Hurricane Katrina, Kanye blasted Bush and created problems for the highest levels of power. Now, what is he saying?

I fear that the biggest protest from rap is coming from Snoop Dogg, who has the balls to call out ex-Governor Schwarzenegger. Snoop certainly changed my opinion of the Terminator after I learned about the details of his crony pardon.

C’mon Kanye! Leave a real legacy, not just Kardashian news cycles. I want a steak, not fluffy popcorn.
